If working on Remote desktop is a feature that allows a school users to connect to a computer in another location, see that computer's desktop and interact with it as if it were local. Remote Desktop is useful for working at home or in remote locations in school. It gives access to printing, file share and the internet, as well as school software., you will need to map the “Common Room” printer. If you are using the PC’s in the Sixth Form Centre, these printers will already be available to you.
Using the “Map Printer” icon in the start menu, select “Sixth Form -> Common Room” from the program that appears
Once you have sent a document to the common room printer, it is held in a print queue. It will will be held in the queue until you release the print or 12 hours have passed (At which point the print job is expired).
You then need to visit the copier and use your ID card to release the print
Step 1: Swipe the “Login” card scanner
Step 2: Swipe the “Print Release” scanner
Step 3: One printing is complete, log out via the “Stop” button on the print controller
