Front of Class PC – Setting Default Sound Output

Home KB Home Staff Front of Class PC – Setting Default Sound Output

You may find that sound does not output from your PC even if the rest of your sound system appears to be setup correctly. This can be due to the PC trying to output sounds to the headphone jack, rather than the speaker system.

Note: If you are on a Front of Class PC and signed into Remote Desktop, ensure when your checking the sounds that the remote desktop is minimised.

To check this, right click the speaker icon in the taskbar and select “Open Sound Settings”

If the output is set to “Headphones” select “Speakers” and close the window.

If everything else is configured correctly this will most likely fix your sound problem
